LUPINUS POLYPHYLLUS

Lupinus polyphyllus
Graphite drawings
84,1 x 59,4 cm
A series of three drawings and a sound piece exploring the flower lupine's interactions with spiders and other organisms in its environment. Recordings of the lupine's electrical activity are converted into sound through sonification. The Lupinus polyphyllus is embedded in countless other organisms and when we place our sensors on the leaves to capture a moment’s electric activity, we do not just capture the Lupinus polyphyllus but also all the threads from the ecological weave in which it is entangled.
