THE LÖVEID SESSIONS. ELECTRONIC FLORA - SKOTFOSS

The record “The Löveid Sessions” is a result of a field recording workshop held at Skotfoss and Løveid Locks in April 2019. The workshop was part of the Greenlightdistrict Arts Festival 2019. Participating sound artist were Susana López, Simon Whetham, Lerin/Hystad and Tine Surel Lange.

The workshop aimed to capture the sonic identity of a closed down industrial site in the south of Telemark, Norway. Can you recognice a place based on its sounds?

Lerin/Hystad explored and recorded the electrical activity of plants growing by the riverside in the closed down industrial area of Skotfoss. They also performed live with plants on a river cruise concert during the Greenlightdistrict Arts Festival 2019.

Artistic leader was Jørgen Larsson. Producer for Greenlightdistrict was Tom Hovinbøle.
